Sold Secure are a non-profit making company which were sent up some years ago by the Police with the help and backing of the Home Office, It is administered by the Master Locksmiths Association.
They provide test and assessment of effective security products to commercial customers, the Home Office, the Police and of course the public
Sold Secure have three security grades/categories.
BRONZE – Products
Offering theft resistance against the basic tool list (aimed at preventing opportunist crime)
SILVER – Products
Offering theft resistance against enhanced tool list (aimed at preventing more determined attacks)
GOLD – Products – Highest Approval
Offering theft resistance against the full tool list (aimed at preventing dedicated attacks)
A Sold Secure approved product has successfully withstood twelve different attack methods of five minutes each before being awarded its certificate.
The average thief will give up after two and a half minutes because of risk of discovery.
We currently have twenty four products within our security range which have acheived Sold Secure approval including Garage Defenders, Ground anchors- bolt down and built in versions, Security chains and padlocks including our “ Squire Ex-Caliber “ 14mm and 16mm high security chains, Disc-locks, etc.
We were the very first company to gain a Gold approval on a mechanical motorcycle ground anchor (Gara Bike Clamp MK1) way back in 1996.
To date we are the only company that have approved garage door security these include the Garage Defender ( red ) Garage Defender Master ( black ).
We are now able to offer on request a copy Sold Secure certificate when purchasing any of our Sold Secure approved products with which can be produced to your insurance company as proof of purchase where discounts are very often offered.
Many insurance companies will give discounts and many are now insisting on Sold Secure approved products particularly within the Motorcycle and caravan industry.
